Please pray that I allow the Lord to use this time for Him to refresh me. May this time too, be used for His glory; may everyone that I come into contact with - be blessed with the love of the Lord!

Well, I am flying to the States tomorrow morning for medical tests. Saying goodbye to the family - just for a week - is going to be tough. I know that they will be well taken care of! Brett is a wonderful daddy, my mom is here and our whole mission family says they will be popping in to help distract the kiddos. So, I imagine they will be just fine without me. So, I tell myself, but I feel just terrible about leaving - I feel as though I am deserting them! Please pray for my peace of mind as I travel and head to the doctor. At this point, I am more concerned with taking off in the morning and leaving Brett and the kiddos behind than I am about the medical tests later in the week.

We enjoyed a very nice weekend. What a memorable trip out to Pilett with the team to work with ECC coordinator Pastor Lucee. We were told that the roads were not bad - but we sure had to go through some pretty mucky roads! Brett is a great driver, but I know there were some places that ONLY the power of God got us through! At once place, we were stuck for about 30 minutes or so. I realized that if God told us we could move mountains - we could probably have faith to move trucks as well! What awesome opportunities we find ourselves in that allow our faith to grow!
The road situation made it as such that we did not return home until 7 oclock. The team AND the kids were real troopers about being cold and hungry on the back of the truck!
On Saturday, Brett did not take me up on my offer to go rest in one of the empty houses on campus. He had an expense report to fill out and wanted to spend some time with the kids. We had a half a dozen people or more to our door before lunch, needing to see him about one thing or another. Though, he did take some time for a nap in the afternoon!
I stayed home with Brianna today while Brett took the team to a 7:00 baptismal service, followed by a regular church service then out to eat at the Mont Joli - and a swim! :)
Brianna has been battling a fever off and on for several days with a sore throat. She did not feel well at all during our rough ride on Friday - poor thing! But, she was a real trooper!
However, she definitely needed some extra rest this weekend.
