A Time to Laugh and a Time to Mourn

We have been enjoying our time with family this past week. We have the awesome privilege of getting to be with both sides of our family at the same time! Brett's Mom graciously let her home be invaded this past week with our family, my mom, my sister and her family (including new baby! ), and Brett's sister with her husband and TWO dogs! Wow! It was a bit exhausting having so many bodies moving around in such small spaces --- but it was wonderful to be all together!

We have also been saddened this past week by the death of a close friend and neighbor, Susan. Our family has been praying for Susan every day since she found out last fall that she had brain cancer. Brianna has had Susan on her very own prayer list. As we watch Brianna, we see that the death of her friend has not made Brianna question God at all -- but rather it has affirmed the Hope that she has in Jesus Christ!

Oh, that adults could have such child-like faith!
